With the help of computers, and new fantastic programs, slowly but surely changes are being added almost everyday. Complicated CNC machinery utilised in Switzerland today, ensures that the gap between the 1990's and modern times is ever expanding. With these advancements, traditional gear and pinion cutting and other relative industries, now have been forced to refine their products with amazing subtleties. With these advancements comes also, an equally relative amount of change in procedures concerning Watchmaking, like the factory greasing of escapements (Lubrifar), and mainsprings (Tepa), and the list grows long and arduous.

We aim at bringing understanding closer to the doorsteps of those long struggling to cope with a constant stream of novelties and emerging technologies. These manifold changes in Swiss watchmaking are not new, in fact, they have been occurring since the mid 1990's. Machinery and tooling for traditional watchmakers and the Industry in Switzerland, have dramatically changed since these days, where the Swiss watch industry was still in it's primary stages of rapid change.

What this means, is that very few Watchmakers in America and Canada, really do get to go to Switzerland to train under the proverbial grand masters of watchmaking. The gap between right or wrong SAV practice (Service Apres Vente- After Sales Service) grows increasingly deep, and the victim is the hapless public who has entrusted their savings to the vagaries of inept Service Agents, and or Watchmakers.
